Drawing Common Things - My Early Pencil Drawings
When I started to learn to sketch properly, I picked everyday objects around our house to draw. This helped me practice creating three-dimension effects on a flat piece of paper and give form and volume to what I saw before me. Most importantly, however, doing this sketching forced me to practice shading my drawings. This has helped me now with watercolor to realize that I still need to pay attention to shading objects in my sketches to make them look more realistic.
