House in the Woods
This is my first attempt at making up a scene and painting it. I see others do this with such ease and they turn out beautiful, very realistic looking scenes. Clearly, I have a ways to go! In reality, this isn’t a painting approach I’m drawn to. I much prefer sketching something I see in pencil or ink and then painting it. I prefer making sketches of real places, real things. However, I’m glad I tried this. It’s always good to know what you don’t want to do!
