My original watercolor paintings are typically in landscape orientation and 7” x 5,” however, if you would like a larger print size (e.g., 14” x 10”), contact me and I can provide it. The prints are printed using the Giclee process on a high quality, fine art watercolor paper. This paper is Epson’s Somerset Velvet . The first twenty-five (BOOZWCPL001 to BOOZWCPL0025) prints are printed in limited editions of thirty prints per original painting. Each print is numbered to reflect its position in the edition sequence. The remaining prints are non-edition prints.
I also have 5-card sets of notecards where each 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” card has a different painting on front and a blank interior. Sets include five envelopes.
You can order and pay directly from the product pages above.
Artist Statement
I became interested in sketching street scenes, in particular, buildings with a sense of history, once I discovered the urban sketching phenomenon. What you draw does not have to be in a city, because urban sketching means that you capture scenes from where you live or anywhere to which you travel and you do this while in those locations, not from photos. It’s making sketching a daily part of your life. Your sketches become a diary of your artistic journey.
I started a hybrid urban sketching practice, that is, sometimes I do draw from photos. I began to focus on my hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia. I am constantly adding to my collection of sketches completed with the addition of watercolor and, recently, I have begun doing many of my sketches on my iPad using Procreate, a drawing app. The prints shown here represent my efforts.
