The Prints of Five of My Lynchburg Paintings are Ready!

The Prints of Five of My Lynchburg Paintings are Ready!

Last Thursday the local printer I’m using to have prints made of my paintings wrote to let me know that he had completed the test run of the five paintings I gave him. I immediately jumped in my car and rushed over - his shop is just a few mikes across town - to have a look at them. Wow! They came out fantastic! He uses the Giclee printing process and printed my paintings on Canson Infinity Arches Aquarelle rag paper. (Think “Arches” Watercolour paper!) I swear, the prints look like original watercolor paintings! The paper is important because not only is exactly like watercolor paper but it is guaranteed acid-free and has met international standards for lightfastness meaning the prints won’t fade.

I was thrilled to see how the prints turned out and gave my okay to print my requested number of each painting. The printer called today to say they were ready! Now I  can begin making them available for sale. I’ve contacted several folks who had expressed an interest should I ever sell prints and I’ve sold nine prints already! I have my ‘product’ web page all set up so I can take orders online. I need to put together a mailing package and determine postage cost but once I have that info I will make the page live and “open for business!” This will be useful for customers not in the Lynchburg area, but for folks in Lynchburg who want to purchase prints, I will sell directly and deliver the prints myself, thus saving the cost of shipping.
