Notes From the Field: Thoughts About Using Procreate

Notes From the Field: Thoughts About Using Procreate

Recently, I created a series of images each with some important point about using Procreate, the premier drawing and painting app for iPads. After becoming - almost - a total convert to doing my sketching and watercolor painting on my iPad with this app and seeing what I was able to create - and sell! - I decided to create an online class to help others avoid the frustration I felt when I first tried to do watercolor in Procreate.

I was so put off that I couldn’t identify built-in Procreate brushes best used for watercolor I finally gave up and tried another app. However, I came back to Procreate with new insights and was able to put together eight default Procreate brushes that mimicked other commercial digital brushes I had used. This led me, a teacher for over fifty years, to create a class. It is now ready and, in fact, I’m starting to offer it in December with two sections. You can get more details on my class web page.

Back to my series of images about Procreate: I did these as teasers to advertise my class, but whether you take the class or not, you may find the points on each helpful, so here they are collected in one place.
